Areus acoustic absorbers

Effectively optimizing room acoustics

Acoustics are a crucial factor especially in an open-plan office, affecting stress levels and the associated work performance. The lower the noise, the more focused work can be. With our acoustic absorbers, we offer you a simple and cost-effective solution for optimizing the reverberation time, in turn reducing the perceived noise produced by employees or machines. With an absorption coefficient of up to α = 8.0, our acoustic elements effectively create a pleasant atmosphere in the room.

Depending on the variant, installation, e.g. with the universal suspension system, is very quick and easy. You can also set exciting visual accents with the acoustic absorbers, for example, by combining them with the color frames and various lighting systems. The absorbers are available in these sizes: 1.20 m x 1.20 m and 2.40 m x 1.20 m. Special shapes are available on request.

The right absorber for every application

The different variants can be combined to create the perfect solution for any space!

Ceiling sail

Attenuation in medium and high frequencies. Cost-effective and easy to mount.

With an absorption coefficient α of up to 2 ** (depending on the type of mounting and position in the room).

Panel absorbers

Targeted, narrow band attenuation in lower frequency ranges. Using an arrangement of a vibrating plate and an underlying air cushion or absorbent material, a precisely tuned spring-mass system is created that absorbs sound only in specific frequency ranges.

With an absorption coefficient α of up to 1.0 (depending on the type of mounting and position in the room).

Broadband absorbers

Broadband attenuation, both in low and high frequencies. A combination of low-frequency absorber and porous absorber creates broadband absorption.

With an absorption coefficient α of up to 1.2 ** (depending on the type of mounting and position in the room).

Edge absorbers

Attenuation of low frequencies. Due to the special position in the room, cumulative absorption properties arise, since all room modes—i.e. frequencies—are concentrated in the corners and edges of the room. Specific selection of our absorber materials and geometries achieve optimal absorption with very small space requirements and installation volume.

With an absorption coefficient α of up to 8 ** (depending on the type of mounting and position in the room).

Perfect room acoustics is not down to chance!

Thanks to acoustic measurements and evaluations of reverberation time, speech intelligibility, etc., we can develop the perfect concept for every room and requirement. To do this, we have measurement tools such as dodecahedron sound sources, measurement microphones, FFT analyzers and various analysis tools at our disposal:

Microphone technology

  • Various microphones, class 1 calibrators
  • A microphone array with 8 microphones for integrative measurements
  • In-ear microphones for head-related documentation recordings

Multi-channel acoustic and electrical analyzers

  • EASERA
  • NTi
  • AudioPrecision APx

** By suspending the absorbers, the side and rear surfaces are also active, absorbing surfaces. This increases the effective area of the absorbers resulting in α values >1.0.
